You will not like this if you like the PC version

I was expecting to get the same features that I love with the FREE pc version, so I figured I’d help the guy out and pay for this version. Unfortunately, it does not work like the PC version. I actually use the PC version as a spell checker as well as a dictionary for any selected text, and it works really well. If the spelling is wrong, I know right away because the definition isn’t listed. But then there’s a list called “nearest” that usually highlights the actual word I’m trying to spell. The problems with the Mac version:

- No keyboard shortcut to pop it up a the system level (i.e. within any app as well as the OS UI).
- If you have a word selected in a text doc, website, app, etc, after launching WordWeb, the selected word is not already loaded. You have to type it in all over again.

If you want this type of functionality, don’t bother with this app.
